Primary goal of this study is to research for latest 3D scanning and 3D printing technology, so that it is checked to apply technology on forensic field based on advanced technology in Republic of Korea. On this paper, based on the above discussions, the actual example of 3D design is analyzed for police equipments. For instance, we selected the idea of special operation unit in Inchoen povincial ㅔ olice agency and supported the design of mount part. Through the practice of modeling prototype we assured that the applicability of making parts process by 3D system technology. Recently, action concerning making parts in police equipment and forensic field, 3D Laser Scanning & printing could bring stunning solution for police science. Additionally, it is very efficient to make police equipment such as making some parts. For instance, the 3D models provide a clear visualization of particular situations and the environments in which they took place. This paper provides fundamental understanding of the basic concepts of 3D technology contents and deals with technical trend. Additionally it includes some applications on police science in major countries and so on. It can have the expected effect of 3D technology to vitalize the forensic industry and help ability as 3D design talents for police.
