해양경찰공무원의 일ㆍ생활 균형수준이 우울과 불안에 미치는 영향 : 회복탄력성의 조절효과를 중심으로
이 연구는 해양경찰공무원을 대상으로 현대 사회의 주요 업무 조건으로 떠오르고있는 일·생활 균형이 우울과 불안에 미치는 영향 정도를 검토하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 이를 위해 2018년 해양경찰 소속 공무원을 대상으로 실시된 ‘해양경찰 복지실태조사 및 중장기 복지관련 수립 연구’를 활용하여 관련 변수를 측정하고, 위계적회귀분석을 통해 회복탄력성의 조절효과를 검증하였다. 연구결과, 해양경찰 공무원의일·생활 균형이 깨질수록 우울과 불안증세와 같은 정신건강 문제가 심화되는 것으로나타났으며, 회복탄력성은 일·생활 균형과 정신건강 사이의 관계에서 조절효과를 보였다. 이를 통해 일·생활 불균형으로 초래될 수 있는 정신건강 문제를 개인적 심리특성인 회복탄력성을 통해 조절할 수 있다는 결과를 도출하였으며 해양경찰 공무원의 우울과 불안을 관리하는데 있어 회복탄력성은 주요한 변수로 간주된다. 이러한연구결과를 바탕으로 해양경찰 공무원의 일·생활 균형과 조직의 생산성 제고를 위한행정적 지원과 재정적 지원을 늘릴 필요성이 지적되며 해양경찰 공무원 개개인의 회복탄력성을 증진할 수 있는 제도적 장치의 마련이 촉구된다. 회복탄력성을 개인의문제로만 바라볼 것이 아니라 미국의 회복탄력성 강화 훈련 프로그램 운용 사례를벤치마킹 하는 등의 해양경찰 조직차원에서 회복탄력성을 주기적으로 측정하고 관리하는 노력이 요구된다는 점을 확인할 수 있었다.
Work-life Balance and Mental Health among Marine Police Officers : Moderating Effects of Resilience
The purpose of this study is to explore the complexities involved in work·life balance of maritime police officers in accordance with their depression and anxiety. This study thus utilizes the data from ‘A Study on the Actual Condition and the Long-term Master Plan of the Maritime Police Welfare(2018)’ and examines the moderating effect of resilience on the relationship between work·life balance and negative mood state of depression and anxiety among marine police officers. The findings reveal that resilience moderates the relationship between work·life balance and police officers’ depression and anxiety such that the relationship will be weaker when resilience is higher. Specifically, under high resilience the impact of work·life balance and depression and anxiety was found less strong. Hopefully, this study be used as a basic data to promote resilience and psychological health in maritime police officers.
